I’m assuming this is to approve or disapprove retroactively the murals dubbed as Brush Strokes on Broad Street. They were none too amused when these went up without the required variance. The one above was partially removed and stored at the request of the new property owner.

Jefferson Hotel Burned – Guests Escaped with Difficulty. Richmond, March 29. – The Jefferson Hotel of this city, which was erected by the late Lewis GINTER at a cost of building and furnishing of about $1,000,000, was destroyed by fire to-night.
