Jamaica Comes (back) to Jackson Ward

For awhile there were to Jamaican/Caribbean  restaurants on 2nd Street, Tropical Soul (which I never ate at) and Island Bistro which which dished out some out of this world (country) pepper steak and oxtail stew.  The good news is a new Jamaican restaurant/convenience store is opening in the old Island Bistro under acronym of RCC which will either stand for Richmond Caribbean Cuisine (my choice) or Richmond Convenience Center.  Look for a new sign going up this week.  It could be open as early as today.   You can find them on the NW corner of 2nd and Marshall.
