JAM in the City of Richmond
On Thursday, September 27, at 9:45 a.m., stop and take a break to join the Healthy Richmond Campaign at Marshall Plaza Courtyard for the inaugural National JAM (Just-A-Minute) World Record initiative. In addition to raising awareness for Childhood Obesity Month, this event promotes the importance of practicing daily healthy habits and encourages physical activity.

Richmond, Richmond Public Schools, Richmond City Health District, and Greater Richmond Fit4Kids will rally together to be part of the inaugural National JAM (Just-A-Minute) World Record initiative. The JAM World Record will have 2 million people across the nation take a fitness break on September 27, 2012 at 10 a.m. local time to raise awareness about obesity.This will raise awareness about the importance of making physical activity a daily habit, ensuring our kids learn healthy habits at a young age and our schools have access to quality physical education programs.
