Sierra Club Falls of the James organizes demonstration at City Hall on Monday, September 24

A demonstration to protest the city’s outrageous $49.40 minimum monthly water/sewer service charge will take place at City Hall, 900 E. Broad Street, at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, before the meeting of the Richmond City Council.  A Press Conference will be held at 5:30.  The demonstration is sponsored by the Sierra Club Falls of the James to raise awareness that the city’s water rate structure does not promote conservation and is unfair to senior citizens and low income residents.  Reform Richmond’s Water Rates and get more information.
