Peter Chang planning to open a restaurant on Broad Street?
Lee and Chang’s next project will likely be in downtown Richmond. The business partners are close to signing a lease at the Hilton Garden Inn, where Chang hopes to open a 6,000- to 7,000-square-foot restaurant, Lee says. The place will be the chef’s showcase operation, with an open kitchen and demonstrations of how Chang makes his hand-pulled noodles.

Great news about Chang. But will it be in the Hilton Garden Inn or in one of the large vacant commercial spaces in the M&R building?
And another new restaurant is coming to the old Captain’s Grill in the John Marshall Residences according to a sign in the window. It will be called CHARCOAL.
Obviously, the Chang place will have to be on the Grace St. or 6th St. side of the Miller and Rhoads building (which also is part of the Hilton Garden Inn building). There are no vacant storefronts on the Broad St. side of the building.
