Children’s Pavilion at MCV to Have Ground Level Retail

Virginia Commonwealth University Health System will break ground today on a $168 million Children’s Pavilion that will consolidate outpatient pediatric services in a central location on the MCV campus and include an attached 615-space parking garage.

The facility, part of the system’s Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, will be built between 10th and 11th streets on East Broad Street.

The ground level also will include space for shops, such as durable medical equipment and food retailers. The scheduled completion date is late 2015, with the actual opening in 2016.
