Two movies being filmed in Jackson Ward
You may have noticed the rows of white trailers parked along Broad Street the past few days. Two movies are currently being filmed in the Jackson Ward neighborhood.
“Killing Lincoln” is based on the bestseller Killing Lincoln: The Assassination that Changed America by Bill O’Reilly and has been filming near the November Theatre.
From Richmond.com:
Tuesday night, there were about four blocks of trailers, vans and catering vehicles lining West Broad Street around the November Theatre (formerly Empire Theatre) where the filming was taking place. There were many actors in period clothing roaming the sidewalk in front of the theater as well. No word yet on how many days have been scheduled for filming.
The second film is “Troop 491: The Adventures of the Muddy Lions and has been filming near the Adult Career and Development Center. According to the Facebook page for the movie, “Troop 491:”
follows Triston, Aaron, and Kashef, 3 boys from different walks of life, as they enter their first year of Middle School. After they all enroll in the Boy Scouts, they begin to bond, explore and adventure together. Along the way they learn valuable lessons, form long lasting friendships and makes decisions that chart their lives.
