Are you voting today?
I wasn’t aware there was an election till I saw the precinct voting signs outside the library. It turns out the state once again is holding a public election for a private organization, this time the Republican Party. Based on their rhetoric, I would think they want would get government out of party primaries or at least let them cover the expense. It is a nice job for senior citizens and I shouldn’t mind because I may need a job someday. I understand that it is no longer necessary to sign a loyalty oath, but you may have to be a registered Republican to vote. Be sure to bring a photo ID.
Virginia does not have party registration. Any registered voter can vote. Today’s primary is for the Republican candidate for US Senate.
