An Art District (Within an Art District) is Born

The wheels of progress move slow in Richmond. After years of wrangling, Richmond City Council approved two downtown art districts in Tuesday night’s meeting The larger one stretches from Belvidere to Shockoe Bottom and includes major venues and museums such as CenterStage and The Valentine History. The smaller one focuses on West Broad Street and First Friday galleries and restaurants.
