The Historic Jackson Ward Association will hold its monthly meeting this Tuesday, May 15th at 6:00 p.m. As usual, we will meet at Club 533, 700 N. 3rd Street (corner of 3rd and Jackson Streets). Parking is available in the fenced lot behind the building. Please do not park in the paved lot beside the club. You should walk around to the front and ring the bell found on the right beside the door.
An agenda is being developed but the following items definitely will be discussed:
- Recognition of Hamlet Hood (our former sector lieutenant)
- City School Board Candidate Daisy Weaver
- Permit parking program update
- “Don’t Litter” campaign
- RPD Update
- Eggleston Plaza Project (Tentative)
Please come out and be an active participant in the issues that affect our entire neighborhood. We would really like to have your input. If you have other items you would like to discuss, please let us know as soon as possible. You can pay your dues at the meeting if you haven’t already paid. It’s just $10.00 per year for individuals and $20.00 per business or organization.
We look foward to seeing you.
Charles W. Finley, President
