A Shootout in Jackson Ward
I’ve had two different sources report a shots fired early Saturday morning near Marshall and Adams.
8News and CBS6 have nothing to report, neither do the Richmond Police.

been wondering about this too…..
we heard it too, sounded like probably 50-60 shots fired from multiple weapons.
i live at the other end of the block and didn’t hear a thing. granted i was sleeping and my room is towards the interior of the building i would have expected to hear something with 50-60 shots.
I drove through that intersection earlier and didn’t see any bullet holes or any other damage. With that much gun fire there would have been a police report and damage. maybe it was farther down marshal than just at adams but i sure didn’t see it.
I just wonder if the people that “saw the shootout” didn’t just hear what they thought was gunfire when it was fireworks.
I woke up to the shots at 2:50am (live by 1st and Leigh). There were at least 30-40 shots fired. They were not fireworks. I know the difference. The last 8 shots fired were after a 20 second pause from the first round. Glad no one was killed.
This bears repeating. I don’t think anybody imagined this. If you haven’t already, please make your reports to the police. I’ve made them aware of this problem. I’ll let you know what I hear back.
