A Brothel on Broad Street

There/Here has this great account of a piece of Richmond’s crumbling history.

All things considered, the brothel space is in fair condition, and the third floor is even better, with a small stage as the only remnant of its brothel days. A series of arches, original floor/ceiling materials, and an abundance of natural light have led Richardson to consider converting the spaces into apartments. With a background in the food industry, he is eager to start and operate his own enterprise at the street-level, but also would be open to partnering with the right tenant. Situated directly in front of a bus stop, this building is guaranteed to have a steady crowd when occupied.
