Ms.Maggie’s perhaps not a good choice for that holiday party
Bo Jones and Ronald Hinton’s Ms.Maggies Seafood Restaurant & Jazz Lounge at 114 East Clay Street has had the doors locked on ‘em by their landlord for, as the sign says, “Failure to Pay Rent”.

was the place vandalized? i saw a piece of plywood blocking the door when i passed earlier
It looked like that was part of locking out the restaurant by the property owners.
Their was an illegal lock out by the landlord…We were never given a fair chance to reach our full potential. If it was’n the teant upstairs saying we makeing to much noise, it was then calling the police every week on us…..The landlord call his self putting a sound prof ceiling, before they opened knowing that music was going to be played….. etc…..
It is ashame, this place was never given a chance to thrive. It could have been a staple in a revitalized area. It is up to the landlord to soundproof the ceilings to keep the noise down, so it will not disturb the tenants. This fiasco has ruined the owners’ vision and financial predicament. This was a positive place for people to gather, socialize, have a meal or drink, and enjoy themselves. This has been an injustice to the residents’ of Richmond and something should be done!!!
Hey guys just thinking of you missing you and wondering how you are doing. Take care, Grakie loves you.
